Christmas

We had a great christmas. Jermaine's sister Joy came to visit us in Utah. Jelani went and sat on Santas lap at the mall it was really cute! We went to Panguitch Christmas day for the best brunch ever! We are loving being close to family. We also went to the Temple to the see the light of Christ art? I think that is what it's called but it was beautiful and so were the temple lights. We had a really good time. We also spent a little time in Vegas after we picked her up from the airport. There were some pretty good decorations. And of course the water show. We ate at Cheese factory and I got this really good appetizer they were the thai lettuce wraps. I would recommend them to anyone. I usually don't order food like that but it was a great change. I have been doing these weightloss challenges and they have been really fun and they have great products. I am going to start selling them they are through a company called Herbal Life. They are really healthy for you and they can help with weightloss, fitness goals or just overall health. I am really excited to start selling them. New Life

So I haven't blogged for a long time. A lot has happened since the last one. Jermaine graduated. We moved from Laie :( to St. George. Which has been nice. Jermaine has a job working at Wells Fargo Financial. I am back in school!! YEAH!! I have been loving being back in school now that I know what I want to do. We miss all our friends in Hawaii. We haven't met many new people here yet. But it is sooo nice to be close to family. We love it. So things are going good. I can't wait til we get our apartment all the way furnished and decorated. This past two weekends were Jelani and Jermaines birthday they were fun. Jelani got a new bike he has been playing on it non stop. Actually he never seems to run out of energy even when he is sick it is crazy. He is growing up so fast. He is definately a chatter box now. Its great. Things have been going good.

This is Jelani doing his favorite cheer saying Defense! It was so crazy that he picked up how to do it from going to the basketball games. At first I didn't know what he was doing but at the game I figured it out. It was kind of sad but he learned how to do this and ball before he learned to say mommy. I guess he has been around basketball a lot. He went to his first game 9 days after he was born! Its so cute, he has a little hoop and he tries to make baskets he has a good arm too. Me and Jermaine have both been hit in the face a few times! Maybe Jelani will follow in his daddy's footstep I know he will have the height he is already 33 inches tall at only 15 months!

Basketball

Jermaines basketball team has been doing really well they have only lost one game this year to Washburn from Kansas. Which they shouldn't have lost the referees were a little crooked that game. But this is the best record the team has ever had and they get to host the region tournament here since we are number 1 and we won the conference. The guys were undefeated in the conference and have won 20 games in a row. I am so excited to watch Jermaine play at the tournament. He has been playing so well and working so hard. I would love to see them win the region then go on and win the national tournament they are ranked #3 so they have a really great shot. It would be a great way to end his college basketball career too. So wish them luck. Also if anyone wants to listen to the games they have them on the BYU Hawaii website you just go to sports then to mens basketball and their is a link you can click on. I think the tournament may be on t.v. but I am not sure.

So I have been taking a tahitian dance class and a couple weeks ago I performed with the group in a drumming concert at the school. So scary... I almost chickened out because I have only been dancing about 2 months but I did it and it was really fun! This is a picture of me and my friend Crystal who invited me to the dance class. The pinata was a football and it was so fun, but no one could break it open. It was so funny because all of a sudden all this liquid started coming out of it. THen I remembered I put little bubble packs in it. Not so smart. So the candy was wet but everyone had fun with the bubbles!

Jelani's 1st birthday cake was a tonka toy race car cake. It was really fun to make and it turned out ok so i was happy. The day of the party it was raining sooo hard so it was hard to get the cake over to the building but we got it there. A lot of people came to the party so thank you to all who came.

Jermaine and Jelani's birthdays are coming up. Jermaines is this Friday and they are having their first game of the season on friday too so hopefully they win. Last year at this tme I was still pregnant! its crazy! I thought about last year when I almost won the scolarship by making all those shot at midnight madness and I was sooo pregnant! I tried to win some shoes this year, but I guess being pregnant helped cuz I missed my 2nd free throw thistime. anyway last year I was nervous that Jelani nwas going to be born on Jermaines birthday but he waited til a week later they are still close though. I knowthey are going to be so alike! Can't believe Jelani is turning 1 already! This next week will be fun celebrating my two sweethearts birth!

For Halloween Jelani was a lion. Jermaine and I were going to be tarzan and jane but never got a chance to go to walmart for the material. We weren't going to dress up but at the last minute I decided to be an 80's chick and jermaine was a basketball player. It was a really fun Halloween. Firt I took Jelani over to the party they had for our apartment buildings then when jermaine got home we went trick or treating with our friends crystal, andrew, their two kids, josh and ashley, and we also met up with our friends Lester and Holly who were taking their nephew around. It was so fun! everyone sits out in their yard to givecandy. There were a lot of houses that had big screens with football playing and food. There were so many people in the streets no one could drive through and they all had food and parties going on. It was really cool. After we went to around 10 houses everyone was hungry so we went to pizza hut. So we didn't really trick or treat that much. But the funnest part was seeing all the crazy costumes.

This was Jelani's first battle wound! He fell off our bed it was so sad. At first I thought it was a blackeye but it turned out to be a carpet burn. Ouch huh. He landed right on his face! He is a tough little guy. THings are going good thought we are excited for Halloween. I haven't got any costumes yet I need to get on that. Jelani has been doing so many new things. He surprises me everyday. He learned how to take his diaper off, how to climb on the bed, how to give kisses and blow kisses it is so cute.

Our family was sealed in the St. George temple on the 23rd of August. It was a really great experience. Jelani was so adorable. It was so nice to see all the relatives and friends!

This is a picture of Jelani when he was three months old. My brother Garret took the picture when we were in Utah for Teresa's wedding. Jelani loved him he was laughing and smiling in every picture it was so fun. Just wanted to show them off. Isn't he cute! He is 10 months old now I cant believe it! Tonight he took his first steps! 5 steps to be exact. It was so precious. Makes being a mom worth it! I love him so much!
